General terms of business
of Quali-Night AG.
A. Principle
As far as not differently mentioned below, the orders given to Quali-Night AG are subject to the "Frachtführer Haftbestimmungen (FFHB)" for transshipment within Switzerland of the "ASTAG Schweizerischer Nutzfahrzeugverband" (newest edition). We will send you these provisions any time you wish.
B. Services
Quali-Night AG delivers goods, that are collected after work of day one, until 7.00 a.m. of day two, throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Standard service is: collecting, transportation, supervising and delivery at the recipient.
Three different ways of of delivery are distinguished:
- with key at predefined place (e.g. locked room, vehicle etc.)
- without key at specially defined place (e.g. mail box or shelter)
- Franko recipient (e.g. in front of door or on ramp)
The orderer has to guarantee consignments, which are delivered without key, in case of theft or bad weather influences (e.g. damage of goods by rain or snow)
C. Goods of transportation
Quali-Night AG transports goods of any size and any kind (with the exception of watches, precious metall and valuables) as long as the goods are loadable into delivery vans and the maximum weight of 200 kg is not exceeded. Consignments that exceed the maximum weight, are given to Camion Transport AG, Galliker Transprt AG or Planzer Transport AG to be shipped as mixed cargo. The special costs for that are charged seperately.
For collected consignments of the same sender to the same recipient, the total weight is relevant for the charge.
The orderer is responsible for an appropriate packaging. Each damaging effect on the freight good itself, on the rest of the freight, the mean of transportation or on persons has to be excluded. Quali-Night AG accepts unpacked goods as an exception, if its nature allows that and the transportation is usual in the trade.
The orderer guarantees in each case for damages of transportation which are based on inappropriate packaging.
Goods of danger have to be packed, marked and equipped with the necessary papers.
For goods of danger a supplementory fare of 10 % of the freight price is charged (at least 8.- per shipment).
The following consignments need special arrangements and have to be mentioned extra:
- individual pieces with a maximum gross weight of over 200 kg
- piece length, that is more than three metres
- easy perishable goods
- animals
- plants
D. Order of Transportation
Orders of transportation can be given through fax or an electronic customer application. For the handling of transportation a delivery note is not necessary.
For the handling of transportation the following data is relevant:
- complete address of sender and recipient
- kind of freight, number of pieces, packaging, gross weight and measurements of freight pieces.
The packed freight pieces have to be marked with the address of sender and recipient. Dangerous goods have to be declared according to the law.
E. Scale of Charge
To define the freight pieces the following data is needed:
zip code of place of departure gross weight of freight goods (for voluminous goods their measurements).
The prices are valid for places, that are reachable regularly by the streets. Connection freight e.g. for mountain railways or delivery during the day etc. are not included and charged additionally.
For voluminous or bulky goods, the tax weight is defined through measuring, in doing so the m3 is charged as 200 kg.
For returnings and empty packages the returning price is charged.
F. Insurance of Transportation / Liability
By request customers of Quali-Night AG may get information on insurance of transportation (all risk). The premium for shipment within Switzerland and Liechtenstein are at least 0,04 % of the good’s value, and at least CHF 30.- per consignment.
Our liability is limited to max. CHF 15.- per kg actual freight weight of the damaged freight.
G. Additional Services
Consignments without information on weight are weighed by Quali-Night. The charge for that is CHF 4.- per consignment.
The disposal of packaging and recycling material is charged according to expenditure.
H. Accounting / Terms of Payment
As far as not arranged differently, the service of transport is charged once per month.
The value-added tax (VAT) is charged additionally and listed separately. Bills are to be paid within 10 days net. Discounts are charged subsequently.
Supplementary fuel fares are charged and listed separately according to ASTAG recommendations.
